In celebration of Halloween, the team at Ashdown Park Hotel took part in a Pumpkin Carving Competition, with a prize for the winner and two runners-up. Our General Managers judged the contest and found it very hard to decide a winner from all the amazing entries.
Ashdown Park Hotel
This year’s pumpkin carving competition at Ashdown Park was fierce, with over 20 entries showcasing our team’s creativity! Some standout designs included a tribute to our charity partner, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, and a nod to our iconic Harry Clarke stained glass windows. Ultimately, Andrii Synyshyn from Housekeeping claimed first prize with an impressively sinister pumpkin face!
The Grand Hotel
Creativity thrived at The Grand, with our team’s entries highlighting artistic flair. Among the intricate designs was a carving of the hotel’s iconic front. However, it was the Lounge team who captured the prize with their stunning portrayal of the Evil Queen from Snow White.
Tylney Hall Hotel
At Tylney Hall, departments united for team entries. The Lounge team crafted a teacup and saucer, while Maintenance added a hard hat to theirs. But it was the Accounts team who took top honors with their elaborate, bedazzled spider design!
Thank you to everyone who participated—it's wonderful to see such creativity across our hotels!
